Roblox Error Code 280 on Delta Executor: How to Fix It

Seeing “Your version of Roblox may be out of date. Please update Roblox to play the game (Error Code: 280)” inside Delta? It means your Delta build is older than the current Roblox client. Here is how to fix it in a few minutes.

What is Roblox Error Code 280?

Error 280 is Roblox telling you that the client you are using is outdated. With the normal Play Store or App Store app you would just tap Update. Delta is different: it ships its own modified Roblox client, so the Roblox store update cannot fix it.

Every time Roblox pushes a new client version, every executor (Delta included) needs a matching build. Until you install that build, games either refuse to load or kick you with error 280.

How to fix error 280 on Delta Executor (Android)

  1. Check the latest version. Open our Delta update tracker and compare it with the version on Delta’s loading screen.
  2. Uninstall your current Delta build. Back up any scripts you saved first.
  3. Download the newest Delta APK from the download section and install it.
  4. Clear the cache in Settings › Apps › Delta › Storage, then open Delta and log in again.
  5. Get a fresh key with the Delta key guide and join the game.
No new build yet? If Roblox updated a few hours ago, the Delta team may still be working on it. Wait for the new release instead of trying old APKs. They will all show error 280.

  1. Delete the old Delta app from your home screen.
  2. Install the newest IPA with your signer or the Direct Install method.
  3. Trust the profile again in Settings › General › VPN & Device Management.
  4. Open Delta, log in and get a new key.

Files that promise to “patch” error 280 are almost always repackaged or malicious. The only real fix is a newer official Delta build.

Updating Roblox from the Play Store

This installs the normal Roblox app, not Delta. It can also clash with Delta and cause “app not installed” errors.

Why do I get error 280 only in Delta and not in normal Roblox?

Because Delta uses its own copy of the Roblox client. The normal app updates through the store, while Delta needs the Delta team to release a matching build.

Usually a few hours to a couple of days. Check the update tracker to see when a new build is out.

Will reinstalling the same version fix it?

No. You need a newer build than the one you have. Reinstalling the same APK will show the same error.
